Rabbi Lynne Landsberg is the Senior Advisor on Disability Issues for the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism.
Rabbi Landsberg is a graduate of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and received her Masters of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School. Rabbi Landsberg founded and currently co-chairs of the Central Conference of American Rabbis’ Committee on Disability Awareness and Inclusion with Rabbi Shira Joseph. Lynne is a co-founder of Hineinu: Jewish Community for People of All Abilities. Hineinu is an historic and innovative collaboration of the Conservative, Orthodox, Reconstructionist and Reform Jewish Movements. Disability professionals from each stream share resources, support and direction in order to increase disability inclusion in synagogues for people of all abilities.
As RAC Senior Advisor, Rabbi Landsberg co-founded, with the Jewish Federations of North America, and presently co-chairs the DC-based Jewish Disability Network which advocates pro-civil rights legislation. Rabbi Landsberg is a member of the steering committee for the Interfaith Disability Advocacy Coalition of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD).
Lynne lives with a Traumatic Brain Injury that she sustained in a car accident in 1999, which impacts her daily life in innumerable ways.« Back to the Advisory Committee
